Iran HDPE or PE Introduction

Iran Petrochemical Co is manufacturing and supplying High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with high quality in Iran. Iran High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is one of the most commonly used plastics in Iran and across the world. Iran High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is used in various products. One of them is PE pipe. High-Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE or PE Pipe) has been produced in the world since the mid-1950. Since then, PE use and the number of applications for PE pipe (polyethylene pipe) have grown enormously, due to its versatility and the advantages it offers over iron, steel and cement systems. Now PE pipe is widely used in manufacturing industries, drainage, industrial projects, construction material, municipal, energy, geothermal, landfill and more.

High-Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE or PE Pipe)Unique Properties

  • Flexibility: The flexibility of PE pipe allows cost savings in installation.
  • Low joints and fittings: PE pipe can be supplied in straight lengths or in coils, reducing the need for joints and fittings. PE pipes can be jointed using butt and electro fusion techniques or using mechanical fittings.
  • Gender: PE pipes are strength, durability and easy installation so in the recent years these pipes are an appropriate alternative for metal, PVC, GRP and cast iron pipes.
  • Life Long: PE pipe is extremely strong, durable, flexible, corrosion free and chemical resistant. These features make it perfect for a variety of underground conditions and help it last up to 100 years.
  • Material Transportation: PE pipe can carry potable water, wastewater, chemicals, hazardous wastes and compressed gases. PE is the preferred piping material for natural gas distribution because there is no tolerance for leaks (it is seamlessly fused) and no worries about corrosion.
  • Low Price: PE pipe is joined by a heat fusion process, which prevents leakage. This translates into a significant cost savings for the life of the pipe.
  • Cooling Water Applications: HDPE pipe is an excellent insulator, with minimal heat transfer. Copper transfers heat 2700 times more than HDPE.
  • Degree: HDPE pipe does not become brittle at 32 deg.
  • Weather Resistant: Carbon black is added to HDPE to provide UV protection Frozen water will not crack or break HDPE pipe.
  • Various diameters:  PE pipe is available in diameters ranging from 30” – 120” and manufactured in standard lengths of 14’ or 24’.
  • Easy to install: Most of PE pipes are lightweight and quickly installed and don't need to use heavy construction equipment. Longer lengths and easy joint assembly also contribute to costs savings.
